Issues publishing to SumTotal

We created a course in Captivate 10.0.0.192, published to SCORM 1.2 and HTML5. Our client uses SumTotal 8.8.2. When we test the course in Prime or ScormCloud, it works fine. When our client tries it in SumTotal, they get the following error message:

The content you are trying to view is not supported in the current Document Mode of Internet Explorer. Change the Document Mode to Internet Explorer 9 Standards and try to view the content again.
To change the Document Mode, press F12, click Document Mode: , and then select Internet Explorer 9 Standards.

  • Does anyone have experience with this issue? Or suggestions for publishing for SumTotal in general?
  • I saw in an old post on this forum that Captivate uses the IE 9 standard for HTML5, and that SumTotal doesn't support this. Is this still true?
  • Is publishing to Flash a workaround? Will OAMs still work when published to Flash?

I'd appreciate any suggestions on getting this to work. Thanks!

    Correct answer Lilybiri

Since it is working on SCORM Cloud it is indeed a problem due to the LMS

OAM's are HTML5 animations, they will not work in SWF output. You could try SWF output, but don't forget that Flash Player's EOL has been announced  to happen i a couple of years.
