Question
Issues with eLearning Assets, Specifically Characters
I just upgraded from Captivate 7 to 9. I am running it on Windows 10. I'm trying to explore the Assets available to me. I have some observations and wonder if anyone is having a similar experience, and/or if there is some magic to installing or configuring Captivate 9 that might help.
- The interface is cumbersome, at least for "Cutout People." I'm interested in Medical characters. I can drill down and open a character's collection of images, but if I want to return from that point to the Medical character selection screen, I have to navigate through the menus all over again (Cutout People > Photo Realistic > Medical). Could there not be a Back button on the collection screens? or some kind of useful navigation tool?
- I have the same complaint I've seen from others—that I have to download each image individually. One response was to run Captivate as an administrator, which I've attempted with absolutely no difference in the experience.
- When I download a character, approximately 50% of the time Captivate crashes, and I have to force a shutdown via Task Manager. So far this seems to happen more often if I click an image that I like, and then download from the close-up, rather than if I download directly from the "collection" page.
Thanks for any insights!
