Japanese characters help

I have text that has been localized into Japanese that I need to use in an Captivate quiz. The Japanese characters appear correctly with the Captivate space, but when I publish, the Japanese characters turn to boxes and do not appear to be supported.

Anyone ran into this before? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

We've been testing this and it appears that the issue may be related to the language pack installed on the publishing computer. Will post more when verified. Thx!

After testing this, we've determined that the computer that publishes the assessment must have the Japanese language pack installed. These resolved the issue.

    Hi there living

I'm not sure if Captivate supports the Japanese character set. If it does, maybe someone will come along with a better suggestion than the kludge I'm about to offer. I hope so!

If nothing else works, you could use something like Microsoft Paint to create an image with the characters you need. Then insert the image.

    Cheers... Rick

    Hi,

Where do I get said language pack? (I'm assuming it's something specific to Captivate, as I have full support for JP language - IMEs, etc - on all my PCs and have no issues with captions, only text animations)
