Question

JavaScript doesn't work:-(

Hi!

I'm beginning to use Javascript, but I'm already getting the biggest of the problems 😞

I created a button, and I'm calling JavaScript functions from that button.

My code is simply: alert('Hello');

I press the button and nothing happens. Does anybody have a hint?

Thanks in advance, Mariana

Hi!

Problem solved!

I don't understand what happened :-( I verified the flash settings, but everything was alright.

Now, I tried again (haven't changed a thing) and it just worked :-O

So...sometimes a reboot may help

thanks for the help given!

I could be wrong, but my recollection is that this must be tested on a web server. It won't work on a local machine preview.

Try publishing it and placing the files on a web server, then viewing the file. It should work.

Hi Mariana,

The standard F4 preview does not work with JavaScript.  Make sure you are using the F12 (Preview in Browser) when working with JavaScript.  If that isn't the issue, then I'd 2nd the Flash security settings...
