Question

Keep feedback text on screen

I have a slide that uses a text entry box (input is validated), along with the Submit button and Success/Failure feedback text. I would like for the feedback to remain on the screen if the user leaves the slide and then returns. Currently, the feedback disappears upon revisiting the slide. (P.S. I did not create this from a Question slide - I just added the text entry box manually.)

A secondary question is that there does not appear to be an timing option to keep the feedback on the screen for the "rest of the slide." To keep it on long enough for the user to see it during the initial visit, I changed the timing to 120 seconds. Thanks!

No, you can not have the default feedback messages timed for the rest of the slide. You'll have to replace them by custom text containers, that you hide/show by actions triggered by the Success/Last Attempt event.

Thank you. I should have mentioned that I am working with Captivate 8. I cannot locate the Success/Last Attempt event - is that a new Captivate 9 feature?

Not at all. Events are meant to trigger an action, simple, advanced or shared. Each interactive object has a Success and a Last Attempt even, which you find under the Actions tab. That has been the case since....always?

Have a look at this overview of events:
