Question

Keeping web objects in their layer

I am having issues with web objects always coming to the front. I need to have some over branding and instructions which cover a section at the bottom of the web object.

Each time I do this and publish the responsive project the web object comes to the front and covers the over branding even though the over branding layer is above the web object in the timeline.

I have even tried putting the web object on a master slide but it still comes to the front. What am I doing wrong?

Here's what to do:

  1. Close Captivate.
  2. In your Adobe Captivate installation folder, change the AdobeCaptivate.ini file:

    From UseWidget7 = 0 to UseWidget7 = 1

  3. Open Captivate again.
  4. Your file should now work correctly.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong - I am doing the same thing and it comes right to the front for me.

I would certainly be interested in any solution to the problem posted above about web objects coming to the front. I have the same requirement and have not found a way to prevent this from happening.

We have the same issue and it is very frustrating. We were hoping that CP9 would resolve the issue but it didn't, still there.

I've tested Articulate Storyline and it layers everything perfectly, images/text will appear above the web objects, so it can obviously be done.
