Keypress button reacts like a mouse click

I need a button that is activated by a keypress (shortcut) and reacts the same as if it is being pressed by a mouse with the shrinking animation and everything. Right now working on Captivate 2017 if I have a shortcut on a button it will perform the buttons assigned action but it wont look like its being clicked. How do I make it look like its being clicked? Am I missing something here...

    Sorry, lost you. I thought you wanted a 'virtual keyboard', which means you are supposed to press the keys. Neither InBuilt states, nor the normal shrinking of shape buttons will happen with a shortcut.

    Got it! I may have worded it wrong... Is there another way to do it without using shortcuts?
