Laptop trackpads and Adobe Captivate - how to improve usability ?

Hi,

We recommenced using headphones and a mouse, but we have some users using laptops with in built trackpads and speakers

These users normally don't use trackpads

We have lots of activities where they have to use the pointer to select things

Is there anything we can do to make it easier within Captivate for them ?

Almost all trackpads have mouse functionality built in. Some may have click and right-click buttons on either side.

Using a trackpad may be preferable over a mouse when consuming content. However, I cannot argue with your statement in point # 2 above.

Does your audience require Section 508 compliance? If so, check this out:

If that's the case you will have to re-think everything. There's a lot you can do to make your courses more accessible. If you've never had to build a Section 508 compliant course before, I recommend you do a lot of reading first.
