Large captivate file crashes during preview

Hi,

I have a very large training -- 600 or so slides -- that I created in Captivate 6.  It is mostly made up of Power Point slides and demo videos. When I preview it using f8, it crashes at several points in the training, and always at the same spots.  When I preview using F10, it doesn't have this problem.  Luckily, the published version doesnt seem to crash, but I would like to preview the project with having to publish it.

Let me know if you can help..

Thank you!

Ryan

I’ve had the same trouble with Captivate 7 not being able to preview my slide to check if timing changes I’d made are functional. I’ve gone “round and round” in circles looking for a solution, update, or fix for this issue without resolve. I just assume that I have to accept the fact that the preview function will never work again. Especially seeing as though this original post was almost 3 years ago, and I see no latter solutions or fixes posted.

F8 only publishes from the slide you are on.  It's not publishing the entire project, so some things are not set up correctly. Like it or not, since you are working with videos etc, you need to do a complete publish for everything to work correctly.
