Link external video to adobe captivate

Hi there!

I work with projects where videos are an essential part. Of course weight is an issue I have faced, so I was wondering if there is an option to link the videos to an external server? 

I've tried the slide video option with youtube and vimeo but that doesn't work for me, because I need my clients to be able to control the videos, but not the rest of the course (So playbar wouldn't be an option). 

 

I would be very thankful if there's some advice in this issue.

    I would have suggested YouTube or Vimeo if you don't have the budget for a real streaming server. However I don't uderstand what you mean by the sentence " to be able to control the videos, but not the rest of the course ". Can you explain please?

    Hey Lilybiri, thank you for answer.

    What I mean is that on a event video, the video has its own playbar, where you can pause, rewind or even set the volume. On a slide video it has no playbar, but the one of the project.

    You can hide the Captivate playbar and provide custom buttons on the video slides. Even using bookmarks (interactive video feature) to provide more than what is possible in passive video.
