Loss of data in Cp 4

This seems to be on ongoing issue in my organization- but this is the first time it's happened to me. Mainly just looking for thoughts and or similar issues or solutions!

I'm working on a regular 20-slide project that contains some flash animations, other than that it's prettty rudimentary use.  Before I leave for the day, I save the project. The next day, when I come in and open the project, my save changes are gone! It acts like it's opening an earlier version, however the 'last date modified' matches with the time I left. I am on a network and use an H: that syncs up my changes each day...seems like I've heard of Captivate having issues with this. I didn't restart my PC or anything before I left, basically I locked it up, still connected to the network- which should have been fine, but apparently not.

Anyone else have this issue, and find any solutions?

Thanks,

Jason

Hi Jason

You really should be working off the C drive when you make edits. Copy to the network as a backup medium.

Cheers... Rick

Thanks Rick!

I've heard that, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to get away from the 'virtual desktop' (that's what I call it) so far.  Working with our IT department to try and find a way to get away from it.  Any idea why Captivate has issues with saving to network H: drives?
