Macromedia Captivate Project Won't Open

My company has been using Macromedia Captivate over the years and we recently wanted to update a few slides on a couple of our projects.

Some of my co-workers around the office have full versions of Macromedia Captivate so I figured I could put the projects on an external hard drive and bring the projects to them to re-do some narration's on a couple slides.

I have run into a major problem, after putting the projects on to the hard drive and then loading them on to my co-workers computer the projects will not open properly.

Let me remind you that the software is the same on all of the computers and the projects were made using Macromedia Captivate.

Any ideas to why this is happening?

    Hi there

    Wow, that's Captivate 1!

Have you tried copying the projects from the external drive to the local hard drive, THEN attempting to open them up?

I have my doubts as to whether that will make any real difference, but it may.

Yeah, that was something I've already tried and it didn't seem to make a difference.  Got any other ideas?

Can you be more specific by "the projects will not open properly"?

    Are there error messages issued?

    Does Captivate crash?

Does the project open, then look odd somehow?

    What are you seeing?

    Cheers... Rick
