Magnification area is changing/resetting to top left corner of stage when clicking on objects.

Hello,

When I use the Magnification Control+ to zoom on the stage and click on an obejct, the stage center resets to the top left corner.  This makes it very difficult to fine tune any objects that are very small as you have to zoom out and zoom back on every click.  Is this a bug or is this how it functions normally?  Why does this not work like the navigator in all the other Adobe programs where once you zoom it it stays put until the user changes it?

FYI I am using Captivate 2019 on PC and Mac.  Same issue.
