Maintaining Zoom Area Aspect Ratio

I have tried everything I can think of to match the proportions of the zoom source and destination areas. Is there an automatic way of doing so that I am missing? Trying to correct the destination area proportions manually is extremely awkward and inaccurate.

I am using Captivate 2017, but have had the same problem in past versions. I cannot find any help or documentation about this. It seems like a major issue.

Hi there

Here's how I've always done it.

Set the zoom source as needed. Now, select the zoom source, press and hold the Control key and click the zoom destination. That should have them both selected, but with the source having the white colored sizing handles.

Now right-click the selected objects and choose Align > Align and resize to the same size. This should cause both the zoom source and zoom destination to be identical sizes and in the same location.

Now click elsewhere to take focus off the selected objects.

Click on the Zoom Destination and move it where you want. Press and hold the Shift key as you drag a corner sizing handle to increase the size.

Hope this helps... Rick

Brilliant! It works great and you are my hero for the week. Maybe longer.
