Question

Make slide notes available in player?

I like that the slide notes give me closed captioning for free (sort of), but I would also like to let the user easily see a transcript of the whole module. How can I do that (Captivate 9)?

I've seen people suggest File->Print for this, but that's... really not working for me. In Handouts mode each page has a blank space where the slide content should be, and in Lesson mode the initial content of each slide shows up, but everything that animates in later is just sort of pasted into the notes (not even onto the slide) in a way that doesn't make any sense. Even if that did work, I don't know how I could embed the result into module output by Captivate, and provide a link to it from the player.

You could export Project Captions and Closed Captions to Word? It will need some editing, because you'll have two columns in Word with same content, since it is intended in the first place to have a way to translate the captions.

Turn the document in a pdf, and create a link in the Captivate to the pdf. You'll have to upload it with the other files and keep the link to the pdf correct, or you can deploy the pdf elsewhere on a server and use the URL.
