Making a course with no timeline?

Question

Is there a way to set up a course where there is no timeline? What I mean by this is making a course much like PowerPoint where a slide can stay on the screen indefinitely until the user clicks something to advance the slide versus having the slide advance after a certain amount of time.

Is there a way to change this globally per course instead of having to change settings on each slide?

Timeline is the core of Captivate. If you want each slide to pause at it's

end, insert a shape button on.the main master slide. By default it will

pause each slide using the main master objects. You can make the shape

button invisible by setting both Alpha and stroke width to 0.

You can set up a button on each slide that pauses the timeline and obligates the user to click the button in order to move onto the next slide. Create a shape, click use as button and then for timing select rest of project.
