Manage audio in KC/Question slides

Captivate 2017, 10.0.0.192

In an effort to maintain 508 compliance I am asking the following question:

On normal interaction slides in my course I use triggered audio narration and the matching text is hardcoded into the screen. If the user clicks, the triggered audio stops and the appropriate text/audio combination starts.

On Knowledge Check and Question slides, this seems to be impossible because the "Submit"  button cannot be customized to stop triggered audio and/or initiate a new audio clip. Is there any fix for this as I have "Correct" or "Incorrect" text on the screen based on the user's choice, but I cannot match the next up with audio narration due to this "Submit" button limitation.

Thanks.

The Submit button is an essenital embedded object which has all the functionality of the quiz slide design, inlcuding its two-step submit process. If you take out the default feedback messages, the first step is skipped and you can use the Success and Last Attempt event to launch an advanced action which could do what you want: pause the audio, show a custom feedback text etc.

You can add a shape button to a quiz slide as well, but to have the answer transmittef and the quizzing system variables updated the learner needs to use the Submit button.
