manually add bookmark

I'm working on customizing a training created on Captivate which is hosted on LMS. My requirement is to manually update the bookmark value which captivate sets using "cmi.lesson_location". However, while doing this, captivate over writes the value that I manually set.

I'm looking for a solution within captivate. Is there any api or method exposed which I can use to manipulate the "lesson_location" and "suspend_data" values?
