Question

Master slide and rounded corners

Hi,

Would anyone be able to tell me if there is a way to replace master slides with different shapes, such as a rectangle with rounded corners? I'm using Captivate 7.

Thanks in advance,

Darrell.

No, master slides will always be rectangular... did you ever watch a movie on TV that had rounded corners?

Thanks for your reply Lilybiri,

I haven't as yet, but I think creativity and sometimes thinking outside of the box is also a good thing.

Oh, I love thinking outside of the box. If I want a CP-published movie to play somewhere with rounded corners, I will find a way (using a rounded corner placeholder in InDesign is one of the options that I already used). But I really don't see why you want this for the original movie? I always want it to be as versatile as possible, and if it was possible, how would it look when showing on a beamer? What do you want to show up in the space outside of the rounded corners?

If you're referring to the corners of the master slide, then no. If you want to modify objects on master slides then yes. From the menu, select Window > Master Slide and then either modify the existing slides or add new slides with the shapes on them that you want.
