Matching KC problem

Captivate 2017 10.0.0.192

I am working on a file converted up from Captivate 9. I have a KC matching question. When trying to set the correct answers this happens:

I am trying to set this answer to F.

Here I have clearly chosen F from the dropdown menu.

When I click off the selection it goes back to E.

I can't select F and therefore the question will never work.

    I fixed it by changing the Column 1 and 2 number to 5 then back to 6. After that, it seemed that the "F" choice stuck.

    The theme is just a blank, white custom theme.

    When I add a new KC slide to the project, it seems to work right. I just didn't want to mess with adding a new KC slide and deleting the old one. I think this may produce more problems than it solves.

    There is a Blank theme, there is a White theme, and you can have customized either of them? I don't understand ''The theme is just a blank, white custom theme'

    I cannot reproduce this issue, wonder if it is due to upgrading? I just inserted a matchiing KC slide with 7 items in both columns, and could choose any number/character for the matching.

    Which theme are you using? Is it a custom theme?
