Matching Type issue in Captivate 6

Hello,

Has anyone encountered this case before?

We are using CP6. As a background, there are no unscored quizzes before the scored single exam item in the end, which is a MATCHING TYPE quiz.

We have disabled the PREVIOUS and NEXT buttons and the seek bar ONLY in the Matching Type Quiz slide since that the users are not allowed to skip the quiz. It is also programmed to give them unlimited tries.

Here's where we encounter a problem: There are 5 matching type items in the quiz. If the user answers less than 5 items, clicks SUBMIT, closes the course then re-launches it, the user is stuck in the slide - he or she cannot answer the quiz and of course since we removed the play bar, Prev and Next buttons, there's nothing to click.

What is the work around for this issue? Any suggestions?

Sounds like when your user relaunches the lesson they are sent back to the slide that was bookmarked as their last known location in the previous session.

Check whether you have Preferences > Quiz > Settings > Required set to something other than Optional.  If this option is set to something that requires the user to answer all questions, then the fact that they've been jumped into the middle of the quiz on the second launch might be causing part of your issue.  If you've removed or disabled all navigation from the slide they land on, then you've really go to rethink that navigation approach.
