Memory Game interation - letters with accents

Hello, I have set up the Memory Game interaction in Cap. 7. I want the user to match English and French terms. However, any letters with accents (année = year) simply do not show up in the active game. I can indeed enter them when making up the game, but when I go to run the game, all such letters are simply ignored (omitted). Instead of année, one sees anne! What can be done? Thank you. Correct answer Lilybiri

Owen, you cannot reach the symbols from the Format accordion while you are defining the Memory Game. Moreover even when you copy the characters from a text container on the stage, in which you used that symbol panel, the combination characters are just deleted. This is clearly a bug, have already send a bug report. The last version of this game has already more functionality for localisation, and that new Text feature, but indeed it is a pity that this is not working.

Hi Marvin,

Have you been entering these accented letters on your keyboard? or using the insert symbol tool?

When you're typing in a text box, in the properties panel, there will be a section in the "format" area called "insert", click on the "&" (insert symbol) then click "more" and find the letter you want.

This seems to work ok for me when I preview content.

Thanks

Owen

Dear Lilybiri and Owen,

Thank you both. I wish you were right, Owen, but what Lilybiri says is correct, as far as I can see. Thank you, Lilybiri. This should be fixed since it places real limits on the usefulness of this otherwise flexible interaction.

Best regards, Marvin
