Merge Elements

I have recorded a simulation in Captivate 7 and as I try to merge elements into the background they "disappear"... how do I "fix" the background to allow me to merge objects?

    Why do you want to merge them? And what are those elements?

    I am working on a system training and am inserting false information to cover actual content... I need to make sure that the personal information is not displayed.  so I am editing elements of the screen and replacing them. I want to merge the elements so that they become part of the Screen shot.

    You can put elements over the background, when published no one will see the difference. Other approach is to find the background in the Library and to edit it with a graphical application like Photoshop.
