mobile horizontal view

Hello friendly Captivate Forum users -

I have a question that is perplexing me.  I created a responsive etraining in Cp8 with closed captions.  When I view the etraining on a 9.7" iPad in the vertical view, the length of the etraining is correct according to the breakpoints in Cp8.

When I view this etraining in horizontal view I view the entire screen, just like I was viewing it on a desktop.

Why is this?  Honestly, I'm happy about this because I prefer to have users view the entire page instead of the tablet breakpoint I set in Cp8.  Is this a fluke; did I set it up this way (without realizing it); or is this standard operating procedure for Cp8?

I noticed something else.  When I view the etraining in the vertical view, the closed captions work correctly.  When I view the etraing in horizontal view, the closed captions do not work.  Does anyone know why this is?

Ideally I want the viewers to use this etraining in the horizontal view with closed captions available.

Any insight on either of these matters would be much appreciated!

Thank you

Yes iPad in landscape uses desktop view, i think its because the iPad resolution is 2048x1536 so if your desktop breakpoint is set to 1024 it will use that view

It is the browser, not the screen resolution that is important. Browser

resolutionis mostly much lower.

Quite right, though the iPad browser resolution is 768x1024 so my point still stands anyway
