Hello,

we are subscribing Captivate 8, and working on running TinCan activities and tracking it on LMS,

we have a requirement = download/start TinCan on mobile device > disconnect from interent > finish activity > connect to internet > send status to LRS

has anyone expierence in running and working with TinCan on Captivate + any LRS ?

is there any player for mobile devices ? cheaper software like iSpring have mobile player for Andorid and iPad and it works.

As far as I understand Captivate's current state of 'mobile compatibility'...

    There is no mobile player.

However, you can create a 'Responsive Design' project and output to HTML...so you can design your piece for a range of devices and screensizes.

And Captivate does support xAPI...however I believe it assumes your content is being launched from an LMS, online, and that the LMS supports xAPI (i.e. has an LRS component).

So Captivate 8 is halfway there; great on the Responsive Design, needs to go further with true, offline, mobile support.

There are LMS products, however, that have their own workarounds to allow offline SCORM completion and 'resynch' the next the content is online (i.e. Saba and Docebo, I believe)...but those are LMS-specific.
