Question

Modifying the project size

I create simulations for systems that do not record well in the 800 x 600 size.  I record them at 1024 x 768 and then modify the size down to 800 x 600 after.  The end result is a much blurrier image than the initial recording.  Any suggestions (other than not modifying the size because so far I have not had luck with that)?  Than you!

How did you change size? With Modify, Rescale? Changing the resolution of a bitmap image always leads to some quality loss, but downscaling is mostly acceptable. Did you check after publishing?

I used Modify > Rescale project.  I checked after publishing and it was still blurry.

I do not really understand why you are locked into using 800 x 600 as a final project size.  The need to accommodate that screen resolution is no longer valid as almost all screens used by people on even the most basic computers will usually be at least 1200 pixels wide.  But maybe your organisation is using really old technology for some reason.

If you MUST stick with 800 x 600, you could use the Automatic or Manual Panning options when capture.  That should remove the need to do any alteration of the scaling and keep the captures as crisp as possible.
