More problems with Accordion Learning Interaction Widget

I'm having more trouble with the accordion learning interaction.  

It was functioning just fine, but I changed the style of the button (changed the shape and added "continue" text) and now two things are malfunctioning:

1. The top level of the accordion is not clickable if you hover over the words.  In the picture below for example, if I hover over or near to the words discredit the credit score, it won't work.  It only works if I hover over and clicks towards the middle or right of the green bar.
2. The whole widget doesn't work after the button appears.  Actually, more accurately, I can close any open levels of the accordion, but after that, nothing is clickable.

Before I changed the style of the button, none of this was the case.  I changed none of the settings as far as actions or options.  It's just a simple button that continues to the next slide.
