Mouse cursor path starting location disappear (4 red dots)

Unable to change the path starting location due to this issue. Open another new Captivate file, the mouse cursor is working fine, but not in my existing project.

    So is there a way to 'reset' the cursor starting location at subsequent

    slides?


    The usual workaround is to insert a very short slide of maybe one tenth of a second and on that slide move the mouse to where you want the starting position to be for the next slide.

    If you don't like the way Captivate works in this instance, you would not be the first to feel that way, but that's the way it is.  Log an enhancement request if this is something you'd like to see changed one day.

    Are you talking about the starting location on the first slide that has a mouse cursor shown, or on the subsequent slides thereafter?

    Hi Rod,

    I am referring to cursor on subsequent slides. It works well for the first slide.

    Yep.  That's what I thought.

    Here's the thing...Captivate automatically takes the end point of the mouse cursor on the previous slide as the starting point of the cursor for the next slide in line.  That's why you're not seeing the same four little dots as occur on the very first slide where you're using a mouse cursor.  It's by design.
