Mouse Disappears

have finished editing a Captivate file which has both demo and interactive sections. For some reason the mouse movement has disappeared from the demo section. The mouse is turned on for those slides that I want to display the mouse, and the mouse icon shows on the page and mouse line shows on the timeline, but when I play back the file in preview or publish the file, there is no mouse.

It was there earlier when I first recorded those sections and even after doing a fair amount of editing. It has just disappeared and nothing seems to bring it back. Does anyone have an idea of what is going on?
