Question

Mouse has no properties

I recorded a video demo through captivate, works fine. Started editing the mouse properties (clicks, smoothing etc), I have come across several mouse events that when I click on them, the properties window just appears as in the screen shot so I cant edit any properties. Any help? Using captivate 9.

Thanks in advance

I have seen the properties window not show the properties once in a while for different objects. Usually, if I close the properties dialog and open it again, they magically reappear.

Hi!

I have been encountering this as well. However, it seems that if you hit CTRL + Z a few times, it will bring up the mouse properties. Very strange work around, but it is the only thing I have found that works on these occasional mouse points.

Are you in mouse editing mode? The Properties panel is not what I would expect if one of the mouse objects on the timeline is selected. Maybe this blog post could help to clarify?

I am in mouse editing mode, just to clarify when I click on the majority of the mouse events the properties panel looks like this

but about 10 percent appear like my first screen shot.

Some further information, if I try to add a new mouse where the broken ones appear its says I cant because one already exists. If I right click on the ones that one work I have the option to delete them but I don't on the ones that don't work.

That looks like corruption or possible a bug. That must be very annoying, especially not being able to delete. Which version are you using? Be sure to update to the latest version which is 9.0.2.437.
