mouse movement does not show up when previewing project and after published

Have I missed any step when editing a simulation demo? Here is the problem:

When I edit in the timeline of a slide, I can move around the occurrence of the mouse movement and change the length of its duration; I can click on 'show/hide items' for the mouse, text caption and highlight box to show them or hide them in the slide.

All the edits reflect well in Preview>Play Slide. But in Preview>Project or Preview>In Browser or Publish to any format, except the changed occurrence and duration of the mouse movement shows, others seem out of my control: 1) no mouse movement at all; 2) the pointer always display its end position in the slide even from the beginning of the slide; 3) the hidden highlight box shows up.

What happened?

Shall I turn off some default setting? Where is that?

Thanks!

Your question is not totally clear to me, but this sentence 'I can click on 'show/hide items' for the mouse, text caption and highlight box to show them or hide them in the slide.' is ringing a bell! Did you use the eye icon in the Timeline to 'hide' objects? That is not meant to hide them for published version, only to hide temporarily for editing purposes, if too many objects are on the slide. If you want really  to hide an object permanently, so that it is not showing up after publishing or during a Preview (Play Slide is not a Preview, is also only for editing, synchronizing) you have to use the 'other' eye icon that you find top left of the Properties panel of that object. Pretty confusing to have twice the same button for totally different goal (there is even a third version in Drag&Drop that has still another functionality, will just hide the links in the D&D).

    Thanks a lot, Lily.

I went to 'Properties' of the text caption and highlight box, click on the small eye icon to make them not visible in the output. My problem is solved! in project preview and after published, mouse movement shows well, and text caption and highlight box are gone.
