Mouse Placement

When I resized my Captivate project, my mouse pointer ended up "off the screen". It needs to appear right on the right hand edge of the screen as it was clicking in the scroll bar to scroll down the page.

Now, when I moved it onto the screen, it seems to want the whole mouse to appear, which leaves its looking like I was scrolling down the page but the point of the mouse pointer isn't actually on the scroll bar, and I can't move it right (so its partially off the side of the screen).

Not a biggie, but annoying. I suppose I'll just have to try and re-capture that slide.

Unless the experts have a better idea.

While I'm here, thanks to all the question answerers. This forum has provided me with heaps of solutions to make my projects better. Especially Captiv8r and Cat Bandit. Keep up the good work!

Hi Kerry

Another member claims you can get the pointer somewhat nearer by using the following steps:

Select another pointer (small one, or one with the active pointer-dot on a different side), then re-position the pointer, and after that, select the original mouse-pointer again. You will see that it will now stay where it is (unless you drag it again).

You might give that a try and report back as to how successful it was for you.

Hey Rick,

You be legend, love your work.

After searching through the huge selection of mouse pointers, I found one that was a hand pinching towards the right, and it let me put it far enough right that when I changed the pointer back to normal, it is now pointing on the scroll bar! One tip, when you select a mouse pointer that is half off the screen, use right click>properties otherwise a left click will bring the mouse back onto the screen.

I'm off to fix my project now :)

Cheers,

Kerry
