Does the Captivate movie play fine on its own before you upload it to the Domino server? If so, then you are definitely looking at an issue arising because of placing it on the server. I actually have seen this behavior with other media types on the web. Particularly video clips. Sometimes the clip starts to play and suddenly starts over. When I've seen this, the clip hasn't fully downloaded to my PC and play has hit the end of what has downloaded to that point.

As it's the default setting, I'm guessing you are using the preloader?
