mp4 videos won't play on mobile devices Captivate7
I have a 60+ slide presentation done with Captivate 7 heavily loaded with mp4 videos compressed with Adobe Media Encoder with the 960x540 29.97 h.264 encoding. After publishing, the project works on local computers, both Mac and PC. Once loaded onto the server, all videos won't work on mobile devices, only on desktop computers.
I had the client upload a stand alone mp4 video to make sure their server settings were ready for mp4 and it ran on both desktop and mobile devices. I have tried 8 different versions of video compression: mp4 25, mp4 23.97, mp4 29.97 and flv with and without preloaders, and nothing. Some combinations resulted in audio, but no video.
I remade a short project with different video clips to make sure the original Captivate 7 file wasn't corrupted. No change.
My project is being exported as html5, no swf. I've tried force republishing slides and html scaling. Nothing works. I tried including the swf option to see if it was something just odd, but that didn't make a difference.
I've tried directing to the index.html and the multiscreen.html file. Nothing.
I'm now at a loss. Because the standalone mp4 worked, it has something to do with the Captivate publishing process. Any ideas? I'm counting on you guys.
Thanks -
Jason
