Question

Multi-Sco Linking Using SCORM Cloud

Hi

Can anyone help please? I've created a multi-sco pacakge in Captivate 7 to play on SCORM Cloud. At the end of each module, it should be that the SCORM Cloud Player allows you to select 'Next' to then progress to the next module, however it looks like the course is trying to hide the LMSUI (player navigation) in some scenarios...

<adlnav:presentation>
<adlnav:navigationInterface>
<adlnav:hideLMSUI>continue</adlnav:hideLMSUI>
<adlnav:hideLMSUI>abandon</adlnav:hideLMSUI>
<adlnav:hideLMSUI>abandonAll</adlnav:hideLMSUI>
<adlnav:hideLMSUI>exitAll</adlnav:hideLMSUI>
<adlnav:hideLMSUI>exit</adlnav:hideLMSUI>
</adlnav:navigationInterface>
</adlnav:presentation>

It looks like it will not allow me to progress until the course decides it is time...does anyone know what setting I would use in Captivate to allow the SCORM Cloud player to decide on the last slide of a module to progress to the next module in the series?

Is this something to be controlled in Captivate or the SCORM Cloud?

NB I've decided not to try and link modules within Captivate as I've read so many posts about this being difficult and I'm only a novice user so far so was trying to keep it simple.

This is the final piece of the puzzle for my course going live so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Lisa

You should not be trying to link to the next module of a multi-sco course from within the course content.  This is something the LMS should be allowed to take care of.  Most LMSs have some kind of Auto Continue function that you can turn on which means that when a SCO reaches the end it is closed down and the next SCO in the series is automatically launched by the LMS.  Look for that option in SCORM Cloud and just set all of your Captivate project SCOs Preferences > Project > STart and End option to Stop Project, not to Close Project or to go to some other project.

Great thanks Rod - as it turns out one of the projects in the multisco was trying to 'close' project and that was causing problems for the whole multi-sco, once I changed this to 'Stop Project' all worked great.

Thanks for your help.
