Multi select ctrl-mouse ever solved?

I need to make a clickbox activate on ctrl-mouse as in you are multi selecting items in a list.

I've searched the forums and seen that several people have asked this same question years ago. Never saw an answer.

Is this a capability yet? Anyone know how to do it?
