Question

Multiple quizzes

Is there a way to have multiple quizzes within 1 captivate project? I want to insert a quiz at the end of each major section of the presentation and if the user fails a section quiz, he'll be redirected to the beginning of that section. In total, I'd like to have 3 separate quizzes for the presentation.

You also need to be aware that since Captivate only allows one quiz, hitting the Retake Quiz button on the Quiz Results slide will wipe scores and reset all questions in the project, not just in one part of the quiz.

In my opinion, if you are wanting to have separate quizzes, and you have several sections in your project, then your course is big enough to justify breaking it up into separate project files, one for each section.  This allows much more flexibility and fewer issues overall.

Each Captivate file can have only one Quiz (SCORM requirement I heard). You don't tell which version you are using, nor if you have to report to a LMS. When reporting as a SCO only the total result will be reported, that is the one that is stored in the quizzing system variables.

You can however with advanced actions calculate subtotals and display them to the user. I don't know if this post could help you:

PS: if you have CP6 or later, there is also a Pretest, but that is not what you'll want to use in this case
