Multiple Text Entry Boxes with one submit button
Hello,
I'm working on a project where the learner must fill out 9 boxes of a chart and then click a single "Submit" button. Captivate, through advanced actions, is then supposed to check each answer and provide a correct (green checkmark) or incorrect (red X) for each response. I found some instructions online (http://kb2.adobe.com/community/publishing/890/cpsid_89018.html) and they were immensely helpful in getting me started as this is my first project in Captivate and advanced actions are...hard.
Unfortunately, I am not getting the results I anticipated. At this point, no matter what answer is input, I can get Captivate to respond with either a green check or a red X, but it's not based on whether or not the answer is correct.
So, for example, if I put the correct answer in the first box and an incorrect answer in the second box and then no responses in any of the others, I will get a red X for the first box, a red X for the second box, and green checks for all of the other boxes. I have checked and rechecked my advanced actions to ensure that they are following the instructions in the article and I have verified that I have put correct responses in the "Correct Entries" boxes.
Here's where I am theorizing I'm having issues:
- The instructions I found are for an older version of Captivate. I'm working with Captivate 2017. The instructions are from 2/4/2011. Maybe something has changed so that when I follow the instructions, it's just not quite right anymore. Not sure.
- The second area that I might be having a problem is with the variable drop down under the Text Entry Box’s Style property menu. Should I be filling it in with something? What should I be putting in there?
Thank you for your help!
