Question

My content does not publish the way I have designed it

Hi

I'm using a MAC OsX 10.9.5. When I publish my content (I've tried as a ZIP file and also not as a zip file), it some of my slides don't play the way I've designed them, In particular the coordination between the audio track and the visuals is not there. On one slide for example, the visuals don't appear when they're supposed to (which I've designed on the slide to appear at specific points on the audio) and there is a long pause between that same slide and the next one (up to 2 minutes) which I certainly didn't program in either slide.

Strangely enough, if I go back to the beginning of the slide and play it again, the coordination seems to work....so I don't get what's going on?

Any help would be appreciated. I haven't tried to update Captivate to 8.0.1 as I've noticed on multiple posts that has not seemed to help....so I wouldn't mind some other suggestions in addition to that one.....

I also wanted to add that on that slide the play button is not active even though the audio track is running. When I press play it seems to get the visuals coordinated, but clearly this is not a solution. Just thought I'd mention it if it is helpful to understanding what the problem might be..

Is this a 'heavy' audio clip? It looks like it didn't load fully first time. Depending on bandwidth this can be a problem. I tend to avoid audio on the first slide of a course.

No it's just a recording of my voice...And all the audio is actually there. For some reason at the second slide the play button symbol appears as if I need to press it to play the slides. At this point the audio continues uninterrupted but the visuals don't move at all until I press 'play'

Then something else is wrong. Do you perhaps have a pausing point on the slides? Can you post a screenshot of the second slide?
