Question

My images look weird on the published course...

I made a course with several PNG images (with really good quality) but for some reason they don't look very sharp and neat on the published output. Here's an example of how they look (opening the .htm file to see it; when looking through the html5 "index.html" output it looks better, but it looks blurry), and I have no idea why, because the quality isn't at its lowest either (but not at its highest, because if the output weights too much the client won't be able to see it).

Are there any other image formats that work better on captivate and html output?

PNG is fine. Did you make the images at exact the size needed or did you rescale them in Captivate? Can you check the settings in Preferences, Project, Size and Quality and uncheck all the compression options there. The .htm file launches the SWF version, the index.html launches the HTML version. Which output do you want?

I've been asked for both... I'll try unchecking the compression options. Does that increase the size of the output too much?

EDIT: I tried unchecking all those options and the images still look the same

Do you allow rescaling of the course? Did you rescale the images after inserting them in Captivate?

Best results are given when you create the PNG's exactly in the wanted size. Did you ever try to use SVG's, since the file size is important? Not suited for all images, depends on what they are exactly. Quality of SVG is more consistent because they are vector based.
