My recordings in Captivate are cutting out narration in slides!

I am using Captivate 2017. I am trying to record a software simulation, I am also narrating about the software on my mic. However, when it goes to edition, audio in slides are cut. I mean, sometimes, when I play slide 1 (for example) and clicked on some menu box, my voice is cutting out during recording. For example: I say "Click the button to proceed" ... As I've already clicked the button, it sounds like "Click the button to" and that's it. We can't hear "proceed" anymore. I don't know how to fix it. I hope you can help me.

Lilibiri has an answer to this posted elsewhere - you have to have a little bit of (soft) white noise before and after your narration audio clip to make sure Captivate plays the whole thing. Good luck!

That was to a different question, sorry. To avoid overlapping audio, or audio starting getting out of synch, leaving a small gap at the beginning and end of the slide can help. That is not the question here, it is about interference between mouse clicks and narration.
