Question

my slides are advancing automatically!

every time I publish this one captivate file, the slides advance automatically. I have checked the settings, and all have been set to continue on a user click. Am I missing some other step. Is there somewhere else I should look to stop this from happening?

Thank you very much. Of course, I overlooked that checkbox. The 'pause until user clicks' was in fact not checked. I selected it and applied to all and it is now functioning properly.

    Thanks again!

    Hello there,

Welcome to our community. The first thing that I would do is check to see if the Option Pause project until user clicks is selected. To do this, double-click on one of your click boxes and then select the Options tab. By default this option should be selected, if not then you will need to enable it.

Next, to make sure that change is applied to all your click boxes, click the Apply to all check box at the bottom of the click box dialog box. Then from the Settings menu (adjacent to the Apply to all check box) choose the Which Slides - Apply to all option. Now when you click OK, this option should be applied to all your click boxes.

Note: I have seen instances where the click box does not pause with this option already enabled. In most cases this is where I copied a click box from another project, or imported slide from an existing Captivate file. To get around this I simply opened up the Click Box dialog box, unchecked and then checked the Pause project until user clicks and then apply the changes to all the click boxes.
