    Hi Erik,

thank you for all the suggestions. With their help I could finally identify that the issue is with the slide itself and not with the Captivate settings. The thorough comparison of the slides revealed that one of hyperlinks embedded into the problematic slide caused the stop in the navigation. After the removal of that hyperlink the navigation worked fine. However I cannot identify why the hyperlink was corrupt, the project can be launched fine.

Thank you very much for all the help!

Navigation: when I replay the newly created published file (with Preview - Project) to check how it would look launched in a LMS site, on the 58th slide the navigation button 'Play' does not show up and it is impossible to navigate forward. On the screen slide 58 is showing up, but as 'header' still the number 57 is displayed.

    No error message is available.

All the slide settings are the same.

    No interactions are applied.

    Captivate version 7.

Just check in browser Internet Explorer 8 (only available browser on company asset)

    Thanks for the detail.

    Couple things then...

    1. 58+ slides is a lot of slides. Can you cut the project into two courses?

    2. If you copy the project then delete slide 57 and/or 58, does the navigation work as expected? Maybe it's an issue with just those slides.

    3. Do you have the latest version of CP7? (Adobe - Adobe Captivate Support Center : Downloads) - no guarantee but be sure you're working with the latest version.

    4. Try actually publishing and testing, ideally from a webserver (or the LMS). Running 'locally' can induce problems that don't manifest when run online, though it seems unlikely in this case.

    5. Flash Player version is current, or relatively current? You have installed the version (or better) that is specified in the project's Publish dialog?

    6. Try changing the Playback bar you use, just to see if that makes a difference.

    7. Related, enable the TOC (in the 'Skins' panel) and try to navigate to/past the troublesome slides that way, just to see if you can even get to/past that slide via a different method (if you can, indicates a problem with the navigation moreso than the slide itself).

    HTH!

I think you need to be a bit more specific.

    What sort of navigation?

    How is the project setup?

Any interactions that may be preventing it from moving ahead?

    Any custom code?

    What version of Captivate?

    Published how?

    Tested in multiple browsers?

    Flash Player up to date?
