I have a requirement to put navigational buttons on a course - previous and
next. Almost every page will have these buttons.

Is there a way to automate the generation of these buttons or any best
practices?

    Hi there KC

I am going to assume that every previous and next button will perform exactly the same function with exactly the same parameters re display time, pause time etc.
If this is the case, then create the buttons once (e.g. slide 1).
    Select both buttons (ctrl+click)
Select your next slide and paste
    Repeat above ad nauseam
NOTE: If you know exactly which slides you need these on, then simply select all those slides in the film strip and paste once.

Sorry mate, but this is the fastest method I know of, there is probably some genius out there with a quicker method and if you find out, please let me know

    Hi Andrew

Actually, there does exist a faster way. But I'm no egomaniac and would not classify myself as a genius.

What you do is after copying the buttons to the Windows clipboard, select the slides that should receive the buttons. You may either press Control+Click or just click the first in the Film Strip, then press Shift+Click to select a group. Then paste across the selection. Bingo! Buttons are pasted on all the selected slides in a fell swoop.

    Cheers all... Rick
