Need content of 1 click box to dissapear when new click box clicked

I have a slide that has three click boxes.  When the user clicks a shape additional information appears.  I want to set  the slide so when they click on a new click box, then content from the other click box no longer appears.  Otherwise, the content overlaps and it is messy.

I have Captivate 7.0.

Slide without any of the click boxes seleted:

Notice the overlap of the different click boxes, as I cannot figure out to hide the old one, when the new one is clicked.

I changed it so now the text is not in the success text box but instead within a Smartshape Talk bubble.  I created the shared action and changed the parameters for each click box.  However, now when I play the slide, the click boxes are not doing any action when they are clicked.

I attached a few more screenshots if this helps...

I hope you defined the parameters correctly, don't see that.

It is not the click box that has to be made invisible, because that means it doesn't exist and cannot have any functionality. You have to make the text bubbles invisible.

    Hello,

You'll have to use an advanced, or even better a shared action. I would recommend to group the shapes with text. Will label that group: Gr_Text. And the shapes individually Text1, Text2, Text3.

For each click box you'll use the same shared action, just have to replace the text that has to be shown with that individual click box:

      Hide Gr_Text

Show Text1       (has to be changed to Text2 or Text3 for the other click boxes.

It you use a shared action, both the Group and the shape will be a parameter. But you can use that shared action as many times as you want and it will not increase the file size as much as an advanced action.

BTW: did you install the recently released patch, present version is 7.0.1.237

What am I labeling the Text1, Text 2, etc?  I saved the success captions as the Text1, but they did not appear when I went to create an advanced action?  Also, I am not familar with a shared action?  Any information on shared actions?

The additional information was in a shape, or did I misunderstand 'a shape additional information appears' ? Don't use the success captions, but create text containers (shapes or the old text captions, that is why I used those labels) that are initially hidden (uncheck Visible in Output in the Properties panel). The success captions cannot just be hidden nor controlled, they appear when you click on a click box. And a failure caption appears when you click outside of a click box. Use the click box Success action to launch that simple advanced action. And if you don't want to use the shared actions, just create two duplicates for those advanced actions. Moreover, the playhead will not advance in this case.

I presented a webinar about shared actions: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/event/index.cfm?event=set_registered&id=2287163&loc=en_us   is the recording, you'll need to log in with your Adobe ID, same you use for these forums. Last week did another one about shared actions for mobile with Sarah Gilbert.
