Need Flash 8 installed to export from Captivate 2?

Question

I have a trial version of Captivate 2. I want to export my
Captivate project to Flash 8, that is, I want to save it as an .fla
file. The command is disabled/unavailable/greyed out. I do not have
Flash 8 installed on the same computer. Is that the problem? Do I
have to have Captivate and Flash installed on the same computer?

Indeed you need Flash to be installed on the same computer. I suppose if you are in a pinch, you might install a Flash trial just to get the export to function. Then you could transfer the file(s) to the computer where Flash is installed for subsequent tweaking.
