Hi,

I am not sure if this is the right forum to ask questions, but as i am completely no-one in e-learning community so your guidance will be highly appreciated.

What is the way to start an online academy, For video tutorials, Captivate is Best, But what about LMS? Web host for an educational website? etc

Hope to learn from your experience

Thanks

What you'll end up using will depend a lot on your specific needs. Captivate supports SCORM, so you have your pick of a wide range of LMSes. A popular free, open source option is http://moodle.org/. Their site has a list of web hosts which support Moodle, though it is by no means a comprehensive list: http://moodle.com/hosting/.

There are a billion web hosts out there. I recently migrated all of my stuff to A2 Hosting (http://www.a2hosting.com/). They support Moodle installation via Fantastico (http://www.netenberg.com/fantastico.php). You could also install it manually, of course.
