Please, tell which version you are using?
New to audio in Captivate? There are several ways to have audio:
- Slide audio, which is probably what you added for the first profile. This is necessary when you want to use the CC functionality. That ausio shows up in the TImelne. You can pause such audio with the pausing point of an interactive object (like your click box) but you have to check that option in the Properties panel.
- Object audio: is audio connected to an object. You could do that as well, connect the audio to the profile. It will not show up in the Timeline but as an icon in the object timeline. Object audio cannot be paused by a pausing point, but you could have extened the timeline of the profile pic to the length of the audio (you'll get that question when you insert the audio to the object).
- Play audio command: which is probably what you use in the advanced action. That audio is not visible in the Timeline at all. It cannot be paused by a pausing point. You have to make sure that tha learner can listen to the whole clip. I will often use Delay Next commands for that reason.
All this info and more in a presentation I gave recently. Here is a self-paced version embedded in the article:

As for your use case, it depens what you want but if you don't need CC I would recommend to use the second scenario: attach te audio to the profile images, and extend their timeline to the length of the audio. You can stagger their timelines on the slide, and add buttons or click boxes to pause the slide at the end of each object timeline.
Another approach, when you need CC: you have to put all the audio in one clip, and time them, add the pausing points at the end of each individual clip. You cannot have more than one audio as Slide audio (unless you use the system audio as well, but still are limited to two in that case).
