Need help with interactive videi

I am trying to make a dictation exercise video with the slide video and overlays. When a bookmark takes us to an overlay, the video stops playing and goes silent. Is there any way I can keep playing the video in the background?

    That is the default behavior, sorry. I suppose you are not using the most recent version 12, correct?

    You'll have to look for another workflow, not using overlay slides. Is it possible to give some more details about your goal?

    Thank you for your message. I just downloaded the trial version of Captivate 12, so I believe it's the latest version.

    I want to make an English learning video course with some interactions. And one of the things I want to do is to give the students fillable textboxes in a dictation video. 

     

    I have a conversation video with poses between sentences so that the students have time to fill in the textbox on their screen. Since I have the background music too, it would be ideal if the video doesn't stop while it's showing the overlay slide.  Do you know if it's doble?

    I wouldn't use an interactive video in that case, have another workflow in mind but that will not be possible with CP12, only with a previous version.
