I need your advice, I want to create a video using screen shots in Captivate. I am basically using voice over and the screen shots with a pointer, in between the screen shots there will be some graphics and text with the procedures. I mostly want to show what button to press, etc.

thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge.

Peace.

Henry

Did you look at the Software simulation work flow in Captivate? After recording a demo or a training simulation, (cptx-project)  you can insert other slides, add static and interactive objects, audio, video, whatever you want. For the output you have the choice; either a pure video (mp4) or a interactive course (HTML5 or SWF) which is much more efficient than a video for the goal you explained. If you want a pure video, you could use captiure a Video Demo in Captivate as well, which has only output to mp4. You mention Premiere Pro as well, I have to disappoint you because the raw material in Captivate cannot be opened directly in PP, you need to open the published mp4. The Video Demo (cpvc) has a dedicated editor that has not all the bells and whistles of PP of course.

Hello and thank you for your response. So, I was able to get the screen shots, now I am ready to put it all together-again it’s narration and a pointer. When I am on a screen shot I get a box that say’s screen capture-(can’t remember right now) but not sure what that is.

Thank you for your assistance.
